Melon-Chamomile Smoothie

The festive and frenzied holiday hour is upon us, girls and boys. Womens and mens. 

 

I have A LOT of Christmas shopping to do- about three families worth. So I'm being a diligent little shopper and getting the list done- and it feels good.

I love the process, and I love thinkin of the perfect little thing for each person. It's like a test to see how well you've observed their style, their desires, their interests.

 

One of these shopping days though- I just  felt completely and utterly overwhelmed. Rushing around, getting sucked into some sort of imaginary choas... and bam.

 

Migraine, fever. One night only. One time only folks, come get your one time migraine and fever, here we go folks- not all at once now...

 

So naturally I turn to food in these times.

 

The next morning- I created this sweet little thing. And I'll let you what- did just the trick, yes ma'am. Doctor's orders- fresh fruit!

Add a dash of rose and chamomile and you've got yourself a full recovery and a brand new attitude. Victory!

Recipe

Serves 2

Prep time: 5 min

Blend time: 2 min

Total time: 7 min

 

Ingredients

1/2 honey dew melon

1.5 cup water

pinch of chamomile flowers

pinch of rose hips

 

Directions:

 

Remove melon rind and chop into cubes.

 

Put into blender, add water, chamomile, and rosehips

 

Blend for 2 min on high, or until completely smooth

 

Pour, stir and enjoy.
